Welcome, good that you found us! Below is all the information we think you might want to know about Kayaking at Frisia. But make sure to email us at if there are any questions left!
Frisia is a Kayaking association that has been founded in 1948. At that time it consisted of just a hand full of people but during the years it has grown into an association with over a hundred active members.
One of the reasons for this success must be Frisia’s location. The Amsterdamse Bos is ideal for kayaking. But that’s not all. At a few peddle strokes away you can enjoy kayaking in De Bosbaan, De Ringvaart, De nieuwe meer, de Poel or even the canals in Amsterdam!
The clubhouse is in a beautiful location right next to the water and is equipped with an extensive kayak shed, changing rooms and showers.
In addition, there is a gym so that you can train specific muscle groups and stay fit during the winter. Finally, you can always cool off at Frisia with a drink at the bar or share your stories during a game of pool.
Frisia welcomes everybody that would like to start or continue their kayaking journey. You can easily become a member by filling in the registration form on the website here.
Would you rather first try and see if kayaking is something for you? No problem! At Frisia you can try kayaking the first few times without any obligations. Come to the training sessions during opening hours or send an email to for any questions you might have!
